• 2011 Philadelphia 76ers earned first starting job and led the team in 3-point shooting and helped them earn a playoff berth.
• Second start for Philadelphia 76ers matched Allen Iverson’s arena record for points in a first quarter with 20 – scoring all 20 in a 26-5 run in a five-minute span. Made 6 three-point shots.
• During his Detroit Pistons debut in 2014, he scored 12 points off the bench and helped the Pistons break their 13-game losing streak.
• March of 2014 scored 42 points playing with the Lakers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder. Named player of the game.
• With the Toronto Raptors, they defeated the Golden State Warriors in the 2019 NBA Finals.

• Made an MLB appearance at seven of the nine positions, with the exceptions being Center Field and Catcher

• In 2009, was the 1st Red Sox position player to go 2 innings of relief with no hits since 1944.

• Received numerous scholarships in her time at the University of Illinois and helped expand women’s interest in broadcasting.
• From 2012-14, covered Illinois football and basketball with scout.com, where she made national news with her stories and perspective on the game.
• Broke stories regarding Cliff Alexander, Jalen Brunson, Quentin Snider, Aaron Jordan, Charles Matthews, and Jayson Tatum, just to name a few.

Played football and baseball in high school, was offered a pitching position from the Cincinnati Reds after high school. He went to Gordon College on a football scholarship before injuring his knee. He was later picked up by Georgia Teachers College (now Georgia Southern) to pitch before joining the Army after tearing his rotator cuff. Went on to Piedmont College where he enjoyed a successful career and was later inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in 2012.
Piedmont College honored John, 1963 graduate, with an induction into the Letter "P Club" Hall of Fame.
South Gwinnett in 1964 where he coached nearly every sport except cheerleading. Sawyer was most successful coaching football and baseball.
Coached Dixie Youth Baseball for 36 years
Coached in the USA Baseball League 1989 Sydney, Australia - defeated Cuba and won a gold medal
Coached the first USA 15-16-year-old team in Taiwan
Assistant coach for the Junior Olympics, based in Baton Rouge, La., and the head coach for the league based in Chapel Hill.
